Tempus tacendi, Tempus loquendi
"I know not what thou sayest.
I do not
know the man.
Then began he to curse
and swear saying
‘I know not the man’ "
“You know me Mikey,
I never say nuthin’.”
“Un hunh.”
“I know when
to keep my trap shut,
don’t I Mike?”
“What else?”
“The little guy’s a
snowbird
and he’s hopped.”
“Coppers?”
“Nobody.”
“You an’ me, we got nothin’
to say to each
other.”
He looked at his own hands
hating himself.
